Citizens in Florida will receive new Food Stamps (SNAP)

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO COLLECT SNAP BENEFITS IN FLORIDA?

The first requirement to get SNAP benefits is to be a resident of this State. If you do not live there, you must apply for Food Stamps in the State where you live. Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents must also meet additional work requirements.

They must work for 80 hour per month to get Food Stamps for more than 3 months in a 3-year period. What is more, you will have to meet both income and resources limits.

Some people receiving benefits like SSI (Supplemental Security Income) or TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) may qualify for SNAP without much paperwork.

The amount of earnings you can receive will depend on the size of your family. If there is a person older than 60 years old or a person with a disability, the amount of resources will be higher. Contact your Food Stamps office or apply online to get more money for food.
